Dora Fiser was born in 1936 in La Habana, Cuba. She lived in Puerto Rico for 33 years, followed by Miami, Florida and now near New Haven, Connecticut. She studied painting and drawing with Antonio Gantes, and ceramics and sculpture in Liga de Estudiantes de Arte, Escuela de Artes Plásticas, Casa Candida and the Art Institute of Boston. In 1990, she was given a Mention Award in III Triennial Mundial de Ceramica Pequeña. Her works have been shown in Boston, Miami, New York, Connecticut, Venezuela, Spain, Croatia and Israel.
